We are very pleased to announce that Redemption in Christ Baptist Church, the church Plant that was started on October 1st 2009 is still steadily growing. We have had up to 23 people on a Sunday, and are looking forward to God’s additions. Please keep the building in prayer, it is the size of a two car garage and is very hard to keep warm. We are praying for God to supply the money and materials to renovate the building to make it an appropriate and comfortable meeting place. As Christmas approaches there are certain Holiday traditions in Romania that are specific to their culture. Trees are decorated with candy, not lights and bulbs. Teens go caroling on Christmas Eve until 4 or 5am, and people stay up to hear them. We have adapted to these specific traditions and always have a blast. We will be able to go to all 3 gypsies Churches on Christmas day and tell the story of Jesus birth with a little twist from Lori. Every family member receives a food bag and each child a small toy packet.
We have put in all the necessary documents to start the foundation papers for the Church plant. Please pray that they will be processed in a timely manner. We are also in need of a vehicle for the ministry, which will go under the Church plant foundation. Since we’ve been in Romania we have not been financially able to purchase a vehicle, and now we are in need of one more than ever. It would be used for the transport of elderly church members, teen mission trips, VBS, and getting from village to village. Please prayerfully consider what God might lay on your heart to do for this need.
We just recently took Lori to the doctor to check on her diabetes and leg swelling that she was having, the doctors admitted her to the hospital and ran some tests. After lots of injections and some deliberating they came to the conclusion that Lori has Renal Failure (her kidneys are not working at full capacity). She has stage 3.8 of 5, which means she goes every six weeks to get her kidneys cleaned of toxins. Please make this a matter of prayer, Lori has been diabetic since birth and 28 years of diabetes can cause some damage. We know OUR GOD is REAL and HE is in CONTROL.
